Adobe Substance 3d - issues with photographs and mesh

Hello All,

I am new to 3D photography, although I do have some experience in photography, so understand some of the basics of taking a decent photograph.

My issue is, no matter how many pictures I take, I cannot get Substance to align them correctly. Hence Substance rejects the majority of my photographs and produces rather feeble meshes. I have attached my photographs below

I know there isn't enough - I haven't uploaded all of them. But this is the quality I have created. It does create a mesh, but not a very good one.

Any advice??

Hello @Nick Hall,

Thank you for the message.

First of all, I guess you're using the 3D Capture from Substance 3D Sampler, so let me move this thread to the correct Community.

Can you show me the 3D scanned result? From the images sent, I advise you to make sure the focal is properly set to avoid blurry images. I'd also try to use a different background to be sure the black parts of the mesh doesn't "merge" with its background.

Lastly, I strongly advise you to follow this official advanced tutorial serie. It gives all the keys for a succesfull 3D scan.
