I have learned Daniel Thiger's lessons recently, but I still couldn't create this pattern in SD.It is really blowing my mind.especially how to make the warping edge.Anybody can give me some idea to figure out this problem?

Hi

First make the herringbone using a brick generator and tile generator (as a mask) I used a ratio of 4:8 for the brick and tile:

Then distort it horizontally then vertically using Directional Warp driven by a gradient with a tile set to 8 (to match the brick pattern above)

Put together you get this.

You could then go on to add the surface details and damage to the edges with slope blur ...etc
