To get depth from the Tringle Grid-Node you can incorporate a Normal-Node like so:

In The Triangle Grid-Node leave the Color Output Setting at Per Vertex.

Set the Grayscale Conversion to RGB 0.5, 0.5, 0.

Adjust the Intensity of the final result in the Normal-Node to your liking.

Hope it helps.

Hi

To get Per Vertex to tile in the Triangle Grid Greyscale, set 'Color Source' to Height.
