Linked resources (PSDs + layers) in 11.1.2 getting error: "resource cannot be reloaded"

I have linked a PSD and some of it's layers to my sbs. Made some changes in PSD, saved and headed back to my ver 11.1.2 Designer to see them updated, just to find they did not. The program hangs for a second once I activate the window again but nothing actually changes. I then try to manually reload the resources I have changed (including the PSD not just the layer I changed) and I get the following error:

[WRN][2462][Default](0): QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified

[WRN][2463][PSD IMPORT]No file name specified

However when I right click on the PSD and click the "Show in Explorer" Designer leads me right to the file hilighted in the window explorer window. 

Does anyone know why my linked resources aren't working appropriately?
