Even after following the steps given in the link: https://share.substance3d.com/libraries/6111,the MaterialX Icon is not autogenerating while opening a new susbtance designer file.Intsallation is failling.

Any update on this?
The materialx plugin doesn't seem to be available anywhere

Hello @JP29105345vttt,

Unfortunately, our team stopped working on the Plugin for MaterialX, therefore it isn't available anymore indeed. I can tell you we are still discussing about MaterialX, but I can't tell you much more, so stay tuned.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

Any update on this @Cyril Dellenbach ?
Adobe said they are working with others companies on OpenPBR.  Do we know when this technic will be available on Designer?

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear this.

Have you watched the following video, it walks through the installation in detail:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bduf3TWmeMY&t=196s

Also make sure you use the MaterialX v 1.37 build, it is not compatible with 1.38.

This is still an issue. Is MaterialX no longer supported by Adobe?

Hi there,

I'll let the dev elaborate more on this when they are back, but the most common cause of problems for this plugin is that materialX (not included) was not installed, or a different version was installed. We are using 1.37 for now.
