No 'send to substance painter' option in substance designer

I finished creating a material in substance designer and I would like to send it directly to painter but I don't have the 'send to substance 3D painter' option in substance designer; just the send to player option appears. I installed both substance designer and painter versions from the substance launcher and I have student licenses. I am thinking these are standalone versions of the softwares hence the "send to option" isn't available.
