Question

Saving material to use outside of SD?

I made a material in Substance Designer, exposed some graph inputs that were important to me and saved as sbsar.

When importing it in Marvelous Designer it shows the material as just plain white.

Is there anything I could be forgetting?

[Maybe important info:]

- When I compare my material to other working materials in MD, the ones that work include Reflection Parameters (Reflection Intensity), Channels (Diffuse, Base Color, Normal, Specular, etc), Technical Paramenters (Luminosity, Contrast, Hue Shift etc), while mine doesn't. How can I save mine with these?

Hi @Gaia12345,

Thanks for the message.

Does the .SBSAR works as expected in another software (for example Substance 3D Painter)? If not, this is an issue related to Substance 3D Designer, but if the problem occurs only with Marvelous Designer, this is probably related to parameters inside the soft and I'm afraid I'm really not a Marvelous expert.

For the missing parameters, this is something you'll need to add yourself in the graph. For example, you could add the HSL node to the Base Color and expose all of its parameters.

Keep me updated.

Hi, Cyril, thank you so much for your reply!

In Substance 3D Painter it also doesn't import the resource when I click to add it (non of the ones I made on that matter), but the ones from Substance assets all loaded.

I feel like maybe I am forgetting to save something on the Substance 3D Designer file?
