My 3d view in substance designer is completely black, due to the missing default state file in the project settings. does anybody know how to fix this? I tried uninstalling, but that didnt work.

If the default state file is missing, it should use the lighting in Project 3D view 'Default lighting state (if not set by Default State File)'.
You can go to the 3D View window set up the scene and then use menu Scene> Save Current State as default which should save a new sbsscn file under the Project Defaults.
