What are conditions for nodes output to input auto connection?

How can I make sure a custom output would autoconnedt to next node input ?

I set same usage from integration attributes and sometimes it works , other time doesn't? What's the rules?

Hello,

The rules for automatically matching inputs and outputs in Material and Compact material link creation modes are the following:

The usage attribute of input and output must match;
When linking an input or output, all other inputs or outputs with the same group attribute are connected alongside it based on matching usages.

Keep in mind that when using link creation modes other than Standard, connections are not allowed if usages do not match.
