Adobe Media Encoder renders video very slowly

I have a project. In Premiere I can render it for 20 minutes, but in Encoder, it’s 60 minutes. Why?

Why would anyone deliberately slow down my work? I notice this sometimes in different projects and different software versions. I thought the rendering time would be the same or even faster than in Premiere

It actually shouldn’t take longer. If you can share a project with media, I can look into the issue. I can send you the instructions via private mssage in this forum.

Please provide more information. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-bugs/how-do-i-write-a-bug-report/idi-p/13094801 for what we need in order to look into your issue.

I've already found out that Encoder saves videos for longer than Premier. Google says that Encoder's main purpose is multi-rendering, not speed. That doesn't work for me, because I'm not going to use slow software.

There was a Windows bug where the app would fall back to “software rendering”. That is supposed to be fixed now. Can you please verify in the latest Beta?

Does it switch settings on its own during rendering? That explains everything—I hadn't noticed that. I start a render, and the encoder says there's 1 hour left. I come back an hour later, and it says there are 6 hours left until the render is done. How could Windows be changing the program's settings? It sounds like the system has been hacked
