Dear Adobe Support Team,

I am writing to request clarification regarding the use of audio processed with Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech in connection with AI voice model training.
I want to request clarification regarding the use of audio processed with Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech in connection with AI voice model training.
I personally record my own voice using original speech recordings, such as reading books and other spoken material, for which I have all necessary rights.

Depending on the recording, I may use Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech to remove background noise and improve the clarity of the recording.

After this step, I would like to use the resulting recordings as training data for an AI voice model based on my own voice, using AI voice tools or services such as ElevenLabs, F5-TTS, RVC, VoxCPM, and Moss-TTS.

My intended use is as follows:

I record my own voice using original speech material for which I have all necessary rights.
Depending on the recording, I may process the audio using Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech.
I may then use the processed speech recordings as training data to create an AI voice model based on my own voice.
The resulting voice model would be used only by me for my own projects. I would not distribute, sell, sublicense, or provide the voice model or voice package to any other person.
I may use the resulting voice model to create audio for videos that I produce and upload to YouTube, and I may enable YouTube's advertising/monetization features for those videos.

I am concerned that using audio processed with Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech as training data might fall within this restriction, even though the AI model would be trained to reproduce my own voice, rather than to reproduce, imitate, reverse engineer, or replace the functionality, algorithms, processing, or sound of any Adobe product.

I would therefore greatly appreciate it if you could clarify whether the following specific use of Adobe products is permitted under your current Terms of Use:

My own voice recording → processed using Adobe Podcast – Enhance Speech → processed audio used as training data for an AI voice model of my own voice → voice model used solely by me for my own projects, including YouTube videos that may be monetized.

In particular, could you please confirm whether the restriction quoted above prohibits the use of audio output resulting from Adobe plugins as training data for an AI voice model of my own voice, when:

the underlying voice recording is my own;
I have all necessary rights to the original recording and speech material;
the Adobe plugins ;
the AI model is intended to reproduce my own voice, rather than any Adobe technology, algorithm, processing method, or sound;
I am not attempting to train, reproduce, clone, reverse engineer, or imitate any Adobe product or its functionality; and
I will not distribute, sell, sublicense, or provide the resulting voice model or voice package to any third party.

I am asking for clarification in advance because I want to make sure that my planned workflow does not inadvertently violate the Adobe Terms of Use.

If this use is permitted, I would greatly appreciate a written confirmation that this specific use is allowed under the current Terms of Use. If it is not permitted, could you please identify the specific provision that would prohibit this use?

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your clarification.

Best regards,

Crystal
