Question

Stereo files being exported from Enhance

Enhance used to export mono files, but with the new update, it's only exporting stereo files even if a mono file is uploaded.

I have a dozen workflows + automations set up with clients where mono files are required. Is there a way I can go back to exporting mono?

Hi Kevin, I also found this update quite frustrating, but the only way to export in mono is to download each track separately using the download icon for individual tracks.

If you use the general download icon at the bottom, it will only export in stereo. Hope this helps!

Hey there TnrJae - the fix we recently shipped should ensure that the general download is also mono if your upload was mono. Is that not your experience when using the site today? If not, please do let us know!

Hey there – engineer from the Podcast team here. Just wanted to let you know that we recently shipped a fix so that, going forward, mono uploads to Enhance Speech are exported as mono, as it was before the update.

    Hope this addresses your issue!

Would you be open to sharing a bit more context behind your workflow? Are you using the output of Enhance Speech as an input to another audio processing tool? Would be really useful context for us!

    Thank you.

I normalise the audio tracks before putting them in enhance speech, and then bring them back into ableton where I process and edit them.

If you’re taking suggestions, it’d be great to be able to see where there is audio on each upload, so I can skip to the part where the speaker is speaking and adjust the controls more easily. Would make things slightly quicker for me.

    Cheers
