Question

Exporting images from XD color

I like the feature for exporting images from XD for the web which is very efficient and a time saver but I'm not sure if these files can be saved as S-RGB. My research indicates that S-RGB is better for the web.

I copy pasted an image from XD into photoshop and exported as a jpg with s-RGB and noted the color was better than exporting directly from XD which are RGB files.

Thank you

Hi @garyci, as I see in this conversation, I believe by default the images exported from XD are sRGB by default, so as I see it the best combination would be working with a screen that has sRGB color profile set also. I believe Photoshop is color managed/has some more advanced color profile settings so you might want to check PS settings also to see why it's better that way, since it looks like sRGB is the default for XD.

I selected a jpeg file I exported from XD in info and it shows RGB not S-RGB. Test it, because Im not getting the same result.
Thanks

Hmm, that's really interesting, after reading this, I've just exported a JPG from a test file on XD (attaching it) and it has sRGB profile, let's see maybe some other expert/designer might have some input about this.
