Unable to use Pen Tool in Adobe XD.

Hi All,

 

I've just updated to the latest version of XD and I have a strange problem.

I can't use the pen tool.

 

I left click around a page but no line is being drawn.

If I click very quickly I can draw a straight line... soetimes.

It's almost as though something is clicking away from the tool.

I thought it was just something on the keybord or similar so I cleared everything and it wasn't fixed.

So I dropped into PS and the pen tool works fine there.

I can't see anyone reporting a similar issue so I am assuming its me being daft.

  • What is the OS and XD version of your machine?
  • Would you mind sharing a short video of the workflow? So that we can try to replicate it at our end.
  • Is it happening with all the files or with a specific file?

Pen Tool Example

 

Hi, I'm on Windows 10 ver 1903.
The version of Adobe XD is 23.1.32.2.

There's no workflow for this.

I start Adobe XD.
I create a Blank Artboard
I select the pen tool (or press P).
I click on the page.
I click again else where.

First control point has disappeared.
No line drawn between clicks on page.

If I click very fast I can get a line drawn which is why I suggested that the behavious feels like something is escaping out of the pen.

Yes I have restarted the app.

And yes I have restarted my laptop.
