Changing Chamber from x to y axis

Hello, I'm new to 3D Modeler. I want to creat a roman gladius sword. I make the blade form. My problem is that the 3D Modeler makes the Chamfer on the x axis but I need it by the y axis. How can I change the to editing axis in this program?

Hope I understand request correctly.  You cant change X yo Y in 3D widget, but you can rotate widget or object in 3D environment and position sword by Y.
