Izakaya's Paradigm, by Romain Van den Bogaert

For anybody who missed it, I just wanted to point out the film we recently published focusing on the work of sculptor Romain Van den Bogaert. Romain’s background is in (conventional) sculpting; he came to 3D, and to Substance, relatively late. In July we published the film Izakaya’s Paradigm, discussing how he combines real-life and 3D sculpture to model a scene (and then moves through into Painter and Stager for texturing / rendering).
Really an excellent film. I’ll link to Chapter 2, focusing on Romain’s use of Modeler, here (because I personally find it endlessly fascinating to see how a ‘real-world’ sculptor has brought 3D into his work), but you can find all 4 chapters of the 16-minute film on our Behance and YouTube pages.
