A prayer to the Animate team on export as function...

Hello.

Being an Animate user since around 1998, or Flash user I always loved using it to draw and make logos and graphics inside. The way you draw with vectors is just unique and made me always prefer Animate (Flash) over Illustrator. Still to this day I use it once in a while when I feel like being creative.

However.. I know that the application has moved more into the animation path, and that's really cool, because that fixes issues that used to be in the past like making clear exports for video.

But some features need to come back / be better.

* Export as a vector so we can use graphics outside animate, let's say in Photoshop or indesign.

* Copy paste as a vector into the other adobe apps would make life so much more simple. I know I can copy paste as low res graphics, but that is not useful.

Right now the only way (i can find) to get graphics out is to use the export (Legacy) function.

While this is ok, I'm worried about it having the "legacy" attached to it, cause Adobe once told me it was a sign of the function leaving the app. So please PRETTY please, don't remove this. Don't make Animate a closed system, cause I'm sure there are others like me who use Animate as their go to for vector drawings.

Please make the option better instead of removing it over time. Make it possible to save SVG, ai and so on, without a lot of checkboxes and so on.

Long post but this is important to me. I spend thousands of hours in "Flash".

It's a unique tool in the way you can work with vectors and to me it's as important as Photoshop and Indesign. Thank you.

Feel free to see attached to see how i use it.

Cheers Poul, user since 1998-1999.

We have similar history. I'm also a long time Flash user (Flash 4) and love the drawing engine over AI. There was a time you could export to EPS and open in AI. Like you, I have always hoped for an Animated SVG export as I have many clients and projects that require an animated SVG file. I think there's a Lottie export plugin player but last I tried it, barely any animation tools were supported. Cool work btw.

I hope Adobe will understand that there still is some people using this function.

Its strange that a thing like export as vector from a vector app is giving the legecy status...

Also simple things like copy paste to other adobe apps would be really nice.
I think as long as I remember Flash (Animate) has made that low resolution raster image that never was any usefull.
