Using the Community

I am trying to change my name from this randomized username to something customized but I don’t see an option in My Profile settings to change it. I can change my profile icon but that’s it. Where do I go to change my profile name? I also tried changing it on my main Adobe account profile settings for the “Adobe screen name” which doesn’t appear to be connected to this community site. 

I’ve been attempting to change my screen name / community username to align with my new rebranded business name. Despite multiple attempts following all the recommended procedures, it still fails.Please help! I would prefer not to publicly post the username to avoid a situation of name squatting.

I finished editing a video, then I started heading to the export tab. Nothing appears on the screen at all except the preview screen as seen in the first screenshot. same thing applies for the import tab which is fully blacked out as you can see in the second screenshot. Finally my avatar on the top right of my screen is blacked out as well. Both, the export and import tabs are actually clickable but not visible.I tried to delete the layouts and archived layouts in the documents folder on my PC. I also tried to delete and reinstall Premiere Pro. None of it helped. I’d really appreciate any help. 

Seriously.I've had repeated problems with my account and they are never rectified properly. When I talk to other members of the design community, their experience has been similar.The live chat is a joke. The phone number takes 2 hours on average and is also a joke. I've even had it suggested that I use the postal service to mail my issue in to Adobe to get it rectified. I'm so irritated with Adobe that I could just cry. I'm at my breaking point. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Why do you think Adobe does such a poor job in this area?

Hello,My topic seems to have been deleted. I’m trying to get to it by clicking the link in my email, but it doesn’t work. For details, the topic’s title was “Deleting layer doesn't clear the space” and I had two answers from Srishti Bali.

Imported an FBX file of static mesh from Unreal 5 into Mixamo. Preview window shows skeleton on character - is correct.  After acceptance, the character shows in A-pose, but the skeleton is 90 degrees rotated, in front.  

I often have several (10 or more) PDF’s open in Adobe reader, so I rely on the thumbnails (list of files when I put the cursor on the Adobe Reader icon in my Windows taskbar) to locate a particular file. I’m not sure when this started but now the filename in the thumbnails doesn’t get updated to reflect the new filename. Instead it remains the same as when the PDF was first opened in Reader. Is this a bug? I’ve looked for a way to refresh the filenames but have not found any. The only “solution” is to exit Reader and restart it (I have the option to reopen the PDF’s that were open in the previous session). Any thoughts?

When I log in to Adobe Community and then I switch to App Communities tab, I have to login again. Why?

The new user interface for the Adobe forums (on the Gainsight platform) is even worse than the old Khoros platform. The interface is determined not to show you information, collapsing nested replies, showing you just seven lines of the reply you're composing, showing top-level replies in newest-first order, and providing no page index for accessing long threads. To ameliorate these inanities, I wrote a free browser userscript that automatically expands nested replies, expands the input box of new replies to fill the window, changes the initial reply ordering to oldest first, and shows up to 30 top-level replies at once.  To install the script: 1. When I open a thread (or post a reply to a thread) the posts in the thread are “newest first”.  How do I lock in “Oldest first” as the default? 

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me work out the best Lightroom workflow for what I’m trying to achieve. I have my original RAW files stored on an external hard drive, and I use both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom (Cloud) on my laptop, as well as Lightroom on my iPad. What I ultimately want is to have my full-resolution, high-quality original RAW files available across all three Lightroom applications: • Lightroom Classic on my laptop• Lightroom Cloud on my laptop• Lightroom on my iPad I want to be able to edit the photos on my iPad using the full-resolution originals, not just Smart Previews, and then export high-quality JPEGs directly from my iPad for social media. I also want my edits to sync properly between all three — so if I edit a photo on my iPad, I want that edit to appear in Lightroom Cloud and Lightroom Classic on my laptop. Is there a way to have the full-resolution originals available on all three devices/applications while keeping the edits synchronised between them? If

There are two ways to reply to a post in the forum software. These are illustrated below, and they do different things. The designers of the forum software knew that they do different things, but never informed the used by indicating what the difference is in the user interface. They never told the user that the two different methods do different things. And so, often users select the wrong reply method, and this causes a lot of replies to wind up “un-threaded” and at the top of the post, just under the original post. This makes following the discussions in some chronological order nearly impossible. I am trying to create a sheet of faux postage (a/k/a postoids). Each row of stamps will feature a different image (which I am doing using Smart Objects). Currently there are two sets of text on each stamp; I’d like to make three eventually. The text will be the same across the entire sheet of stamps. It will change from time to time. In the attached example, it says Holiday Post, and 45 cents. I would like to be able to change that to, say, Autumn Post, and $1.  What is the simplest way I can set this up so that when I change the text on one stamp, it will change on all the stamps? I’ve been trying different ways and haven’t come up with anything that really works yet. Open to suggestions! I’ve just started to use Smart Objects (thought I should mention that). Thank you!  

Under my Adobe account, I have 2 Behance profiles. I think one was an earlier portfolio draft, still not sure how I got two. Anyway, one has my good portfolio but says i need to upgrade to Pro. The other profile is useless and can be deleted but it has my Pro membership. Somehow, my Pro membership moved from my good portfolio to the useless one. I've spent all day trying to figure out how to keep my good portfolio and move my Pro membership. Any suggestions? My only other option is just delete my uselss Behance profile and sign up again for Pro under my good portfolio. Any other ideas?
