Feature Requests

As it stands the edit behaviour of the parametric EQ effect (and to my knowledge all audio effects within audio track mixer) is not as I’d expect - this could potentially be a bug unless intentional for whatever reason? It sometimes appears to only register as an edit in the activity log once playback to paused for instance.Ideally each edit made, specifically on a parametric EQ for a track should be logged, giving the user the ability to undo and redo each edit.

Adobe has replaced the community interface with a very very different product. Adobe has apparently failed to provide instructions on using the new community. Please create and post such documentation. For an example, this old post:

Please create and post documentation as to the new community interface status, and timeline of future modifications and fixes. Also include bug status. Let the community know what is occurring, what is known as issues, what is being fixed, and what is being changed/added, with timelines.  Also, perhaps in the posting, include community input into a centralized post. 

In the "Related conversations" we see the topics with the same keyword, but from other forums. To me they aren't related at all (in most cases). I'd like to see only the topics of the same forum. 

When logged into a banned community account, it's impossible to view any page on the forums. Even though these pages are publicly available when logged out. As it's also impossible to log out of said banned account without clearing all browsing data from browser profile this can be quite frustrating.  Would be great if banned users could view pages and simply be banned from contributing. Thanks for your time!

If part of posting any idea included a field for identifying "what problem or problems is your idea solving?" then Adobe could use AI to identify ideas which are attempting to solve the same problem. This would allow Adobe to quantify which problems are most common (as opposed to only seeing which ideas are popular), and allow users to filter for ideas that are trying to solve specific problems, etc.

I've been an Adobe user for decades, and until a few weeks ago have never bothered to look at or post anything within the "Adobe Community". Nothing against it, just haven't needed it and never wanted to take the extra time to go into yet another app to write up a note like this. I suspect this is true of many "power users" or people who work on large teams where questions can be more easily answered by humans. Especially these days, when it's much more reliable to simply ask chatGPT. The biggest barrier for me personally has been that I didn’t want to leave the UX (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) to open up "yet another" tab/app. Go to a browser, click a bunch more buttons, etc. Instead of making the user drill down to find an answer, why not bring the answer to them? Why not provide support seamlessly within the app? Leverage AI to supply answers or tell users "we'll get back to you soon with an answer!" while their comment gets routed to Adobe's CRM. Need one for those "armchair commentors" who don't add to the conversation with their mornic replies that do not add to the solve what so ever!

It's very annoying to find posters posting replies and then automatically marking their reply the correct one. This is particularly silly because once a comment is marked "correct", the thread is labeled SOLVED. Even if the OP still has the problem. This creates an incentive for Adobe Employees to mark problems solved giving the impression that there are fewer outstanding issues AND for  experts to rack up their percent of problems SOLVED. So any one can post anything and then say they solved the problem, which will then bring people in using that solution. This can lead to:People trying to fix problems with solutions that don't work.That in turn leads to more posts on the same problem as people are going to start a new post without the alleged solutionSome people may be helped by the proposed solution. However this will lead to the thread being overwhelmed by responses about that solution. Unfortunately, this means the original poster's problem will be buried!Ideally, only t

I got a shiny new button to explore the new communities! Yaa-...Oh.Oh. Okay, so, it's cool to have some funny new buttons, but of the 5, 2 were just AI ads, several were just ai slop art on buttons, 4 of them led to a page that introduced you to AI and... this was the only one that did none of it... and this forum was 3 pages down. So I guess adobe is intent on just shoving anyone who doesn't consume AI in the corner in an attempt to coddle the ones who do and convince them they're very important and absolutely embraced by corporate managers the community. Consider this my complaint. It's bad. No I won't elaborate. You probably had a thinktank where some think was wrongthink about it.

More & more websites are using newer WebP and AVIF file types.  But not Adobe. WebP and AVIF offer better picture quality & file compression than JPG, PNG and GIF. Most browsers support them: https://caniuse.com/webp https://caniuse.com/avif   This platform still does not allow embedded WebP or AVIF files.  When can we expect that to change?      

I don't see any use of the Top reply feature.Firstly, bots can "promote" any random comment (and often do). Secondly, it just increases the length of the page that needs to be scrolled and draws unnecessary attention from the topics themselves.  

Hi,   is it maybe possible to get Landing Pages for the different Adobe products here in the forum that are a little bit shorter? Example: for https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic/ct-p/ct-lightroom-classic?page=1&sort=latest_replies&filter=all&lang=all&tabid=bugs would it maybe better to have https://lightroom.community.adobe.com/ Also there could be different shortlinks for the subsections "ideas, bugs, discussion" so that it would be https://firefly.community.adobe.com/bugs/

The search of the topics here must be improved.Let's say, I've got ideas on the Photoshop Curves, but when I check this keyword I see all the discussion... tons of them... and I can't search just in the Ideas section, or can I?

In the various community's such as Lightroom Classic, a topic called Featured exists. And in this Using the Community page a topic called Release Notes exist. Neither is exactly used or populated with much info on issues at hand. I have a problem with the notifications. While I am in the French zone, I usually use English in my posts.   My notices icon is full of notices like this: "Language detection API has detected...." followed by a translation of tags into French.   I don't need the translation, and the result is that I get 20 such translation notices for one interesting one (like new or answered).   So I rarely check all notices and I do miss really important ones. I have not found any way to change that preference.  

In the various community pages, in the Status option/button (for sorting), where we can select All, Resolved, Unresolved, and No Replies, please add "Not Visited". Purpose to show postings a member has not previously looked at in any way. This would eliminate a need to scroll down thru various pages to see what is new and not yet visited by the member. 

First, I love Adobe MAX!! This year you had these sessions "First Look from the Community..." I was too busy at the time to participate in many of these wonderful sessions but now they are my favorite sessions 🙂  I just like hearing from these experts and seeing  their mini projects and best practices.  Moving along, I viewed these sessions here, https://www.adobe.com/max/2023/sessions.html?Session+Type=First+Take  Unfortunately, the links in some of the sessions are linked to the wrong pages. Can I post the links that have the wrong videos attached to them? 

In the View Community profile it is good to introduce a method to filter and see the the subject you want. You can notice below in the View Community profile all the separate subject are mixed together [eg: Ai, Ae & Pr]. When you want to see a paticular subject, it is tedious to go through with all the subjects to see a paticular subject of a previous discussion.          

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but it's currently impossible to quote any section of someones post. The only thing the qoute button  currently does is plonk the entire original post into yours. From what I've gathered this community platform isn't owned by Adobe so I understand that they can only cascade this request to those that design/maintain it but one can hope... If you look at the feature set and speed of the community/forum platform that most companies use these days that one is miles ahead. Look at blenderartists.org or ACESCentral. What I hope to see is for quoting that you can simply select a range of text and you create a quote from it including the tag that notes from who it was. Example from BlenderArtists 

Hello!I don't know if I have encoutered a bug or I'm jus out of luck here.I'm trying to change my screen name and its becoming a nightmare. My screen name is currently my first name, a series of random numbers and ends with fcp (totally random for me anyway).Of course I went to my profile and tried to change but whatever the name I pick, it doesn't let me.A name with spaces? No. A name without spaces? No. My name + surname + my "Design" thing I use to have pretty much everywhere? No. My name + surname + "Design e Fotografia" which is basically a set of names I use to identify my "photography brand"? Hell no, has too many characters. But the screen name change window doesn't tell me the requirements for the screen name, so I don't have a clue on what should I pick for it. Thanks for the help!

On various threads, I have made a few suggestions for ideas to improve the forum and gotten very contradictory information about how these forums run. So my idea so that people know how to actually get help is: make all forum suggestions for all boards in the same place. Apparently some boards used something called uservoice. And others do other things. I was told it would be very arduous to enact changes across the whole forum, which seems weird. be able to downvote answers so people know which suggestions are actually useful and which are people writing without understanding  Do away with topic tags, or at least made them optimal, at least for the using the community forum as I find them confusing and several people responded that no one pays attention to them anyway. thanks!

So I've noticed that this forum like almost any tech forum is full of people who just respond to every single post with some answer that may or may not be relevant. they are then rewarded for that participation even if their answer is totally irrelvant or useless. Some people just cut and past the same exact answer to every post.  Frankly, I find forums to be the most useless place on earth to get help because of this. Some forums let you downvote answers to discourage this behavior.  I would really like it if Adobe did this.
