Feature Requests

It doesn’t give me the option to pick InDesign for a feature request (bug maybe?) but I’d love to see a text effect to highlight text. Right now, designers everywhere use underline options and have to manually add spaces to simulate a highlight effect. I think this would be a very easy effect to program, especially when the highlight text effect is very in right now.

I’ve tried to submit reports / requests, and InDesign as a category appears to be missing. I dunno, perhaps the forum was inundated with “kill the blue box” requests..

This new architecture for the Community Forums is dreadful on numerouse accounts.  I can’t believe how awful it is and that someone at Adobe either had it developed this way or decided it was the best 3rd party option for something so important to the community.  Here are some eamples of where it is woefully lacking.can’t default posts in a thread to “Oldest First” Can’t tell it to display posts in a thread chronologically (replies go under the post they are replying to which scatters new ones all over the place so you can follow the chronology Email notification subject line does not say what thread it is about just says “new Bug” or “New Question” which is useless and requires opening each one to even see if it is one worth reading Copying selected text from a prior post to a new post in a thread doesn’t seem to exist as a tool.  Requires user to use the OS cut and paste, then manaully add info about who is being quoted and somehow mark the quoted text in some way to seperate it from

I would humbly suggest adding MEDICAL and UNDERWATER as categories. Nothing comes close to either.I have a lot of medical images, and I am afraid they won’t be found

The "+ Create" button on Adobe Acrobat is a useless feature that takes up valuable real estate on the header for tabs, dragging the window, etc.

Request summaryWhen a student answers a question incorrectly, the quiz should not immediately advance. Instead, show which option was correct and which the student chose. Visually mark answers: correct option highlighted in green, incorrect choice highlighted in red (or similar high-contrast colors). Keep the question visible with a one-sentence explanation for the correct answer and an optional short follow-up practice prompt. Why this helpsStudents learn faster when they immediately see the correct answer and understand their error. The color feedback (green/red) makes it quick to scan and remember, especially for younger learners. Pausing on wrong answers prevents repeated guessing and encourages active correction.

I am sure this has been requested before but it for some reason still does not exist. The search function on this site is very poor and would likely improve QoL as well as reducing duplicate posts/comments on old posts. Here is a small list of basic search features that are missing:A “sort-by” filter. Why is there no option to sort by most recent comment/post? This is a feature on likely every support forum ever. This can ensure users are finding the most up-to-date information. A filter for “Answered/Unanswered.” Again, why would such a critical feature be missing.  Improved community search tabs/ability. Currently there are 2 options: All results and “Community.” Having more tabs, like one for the most popular forums, would make navigation much easier. These are also very broken. See below  This is not even mentioning that I believe the search function is quite broken. If you scroll far enough, maybe after 50-100 unique posts, the list starts repeating the same 2-4 posts. You will no

The new forum design leads to a lot of confusion when some users click on “Create a Post” and then they don’t understand what is being requested. Here is what they see:   Nowhere does it say “title” and so some users go ahead and enter ridiculously long titles, and sometimes there is no text because they put everything in the title. Here is an example This is not an isolated example, these ridiculously long titles happens often. Another example:  The dialog box is very confusing and misleading. Perhaps a better dialog box would say the word “title” which I think is much more well understood than “Briefly describe your question”. In its place you could say something like “Please enter a title (a few words) for your question”. Please consider making this change. This would make the forum much more usable for people who use the forum regularly, and this would lessen the confusion for new users trying to create a post.

In a reply message, the translate button appears at the bottom of the reply. This is rather pointless and wastes a lot of our time. See example below, which comes from this reply. We have to scroll down to the bottom of long replies, click on translate and then scroll back to the top of the message to start reading it. Translate should be at the top of the message.

add the location or name of the community in the email - clearly a test

Because the latest distiller settings are tougher and error frequently, InDesign users need a way to easily export documents as print spreads (imposed from reader spreads) from the “print booklet” option. Currently I can either print to my home printer or print to postscript, but not print to pdf. (There is no InDesign category for Feature Requests, so if you’re going to remove this, please create a category I can post it to.)

call it pre roll and post roll

In addition to numeric data, we work with a lot of text strings as well. It would be helpful, especially when analyzing our search pages and results, to be able to sort breakdowns, freeform tables, etc. A-Z or Z-A

If Adobe are going to put something as unwanted as an “AI” feature to sift through though search criteria then wouldn’t it be a really, really go idea to use the filters (that are already activated) to narrow down the scope of responses?ie don’t look for a Photoshop question in Indesignor an Illustrator question in with Firefly Otherwise voting for it’s removal is the way to go:
