change user community name

Hi,

My initial username here was @laden.m, but at some point in 2025 it was automatically changed to @Charismatic_yogiB82A.

I didn’t choose that name and would like to change it. I tried to change it in my profile, in the custom.nickname field, but it didn’t work.

Could you please help me?

Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll ever get an answer to the who, why, and how questions, but they are good questions to ask.

That sounds frustrating, especially since you did not pick the new name. When you tried the custom nickname field, did it show an error, or did it look saved and then just not change?

no error. Also the new name stays in the field. And the main question is whay, who and how was my initial name changed? and how can i change it?
