Okay, so I am very new to Adobe Animate, after having recently moved over form Synfig.  I'm trying to animate a book opening as it falls onto a desk. I've combined the elements into a symbol, and have made the first frame the book closed in the air, and the last frame the book open on the desk.After creating the classic tween, the pieces moves as intended, except all the rotation is done in the last frame.After looking at some other people have similar issues, I understand this may because of moving the anchor point, however, I don’t know how to get the rotation I need without doing so.I’m lost, and would really like some help. I think I’m missing something basic. Any help would be appreciated.    

When I export from animate as a video I am getting a thin white line on the left side of the screen. Any suggestions?

Hi,I teach an intro to animation using Adobe Animate.  Currently we are exploring the basics of motion tweening for animating simple objects.I am having a problem (an error I assume) with motion tweening a skew to create a sway effect.  Previously using free transform, it was possible to move the centre point of the object to one of it's edges then click and drag on the opposite edge of the bounding box to skew the object along either the x or y axis.  With a motion tween, then would then produce a simplistic sway effect. Now when I attempt this the skew affects the opposite axis (i.e. if I am attempting to create a horistonal skew, it is will actually skew vertically and visa versa) the 3d rotation tools are also kicking in and distorting the object.   Initially, it will look as if it is working but then snap to the other axis.  Skew is not an issue until the motion tween is applied & works normally on a standard keyframe. As a work aro

I am trying to wrap my head around the HTML5 alternate code. I am trying to wrap my head around the .bind(this);this.button_1.addEventListener("click", fl_ClickToGoToAndPlayFromFrame.bind(this));I understand 'this' for the start and it is reffereing to this instance ( I think). But then the call to teh function adds .bind(this). What is the purpose of this when simply calling a function? I tried to revove it, but that casued it to no longer work. Also, is the 'fl_' important to have in the function name? Thanks.

So I'm working on an animated scene, and found this morning that the main file appeared to have become corrupted, with WinRAR not being able to recover it, though I have an accessible earlier copy that I made a couple of days earlier. I also backed up a copy of the animation as an SWF file the last time I saved the animation, and this still works fine. What I'm trying to do is import the SWF file to Adobe Animate, from which I hope to be able to extract the animation frames that were lost. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to do this, and couldn't find much help elsewhere on the internet. The animated sequence frames that I want to salvage (to copy back to the earlier version of the .fla file) are contained within an animated symbol, and when I import the SWF file into Animate CC 2020 I only seem to be able to access the first frame of the animated symbol, even though all the other frames are there when played in a legacy version of Flash Player. I really need help on finding a way to

Hi, im trying to create a animated video that is backed by music, but cant figure out a way to have the mp3 file play throughout every scene, I also need to have the audio file "stream" so as i animate It wont go out of sync. Also any other tips for starting your first big project would be appreicated.Thanks a ton.

I saved a file with the name "12314" yesterday.fla and today I can't open it I'm writing "when opening the file, an error occurred".How do I decide?

i’m trying to get better at drawing backgrounds and i’m just now getting into perspective drawing. i’m trying to draw a kitchen background, i believe this angle requires a two point perspective. how do i know how many vanishing points the perspective requires and also, how do i know where to set the vanishing points?

Hello, Is there a possibility to disable Animate CC to create this folder structure "\DataStore\SwapFileStorage\Pages"  ? This happens when creating new files. Or moving files to other folders. If not, what is the reason this gets created? This started to happen when updating the application. Thanks for your help.

When using a graphic symbol as a single frame,In the previous version, only the frame image used was exported.In the latest version, all frames are being exported.is this a bug?

Or any talks ot smth? And when they will release it?

Hi all,So I made the mistake of updating my copy of Animate (20.4 I believe?) and this new feature's really frustrating me: As you can see in the Timeline panel, they changed the dots of the keyframes into thumbnails of your drawing. It's taking up too much room on my screen because now the timeline is bigger, and it looks visually cluttered, and I just want it go back to the simple dots they used to have (see below image).  I wasted so much time looking for the setting but I cant find it (and it must be so new that there's nothing yet on the forums?) Im currently waiting on an old version of Animate to download, but please if anyone has a solution let me know!

Hi,First I'm not a Flash developer, I'm asking this question to help another group trouble shoot a problem. While I know this sounds dumb, I need an official answer to they can close this solution as some type of an option to solve this problem.I was given several swfs from an elearning course in hopes that they could someone be put into Captivate and wrapped for an LMS.  Apparently the Flash developer isn't able to code these files for the LMS (weird yes, but not my task in this problem)  In looking at the swfs I was given they all say they were created using AS2 and of course, Captivate only supports AS3.  Short of redoing the Flash files in AS3 is there any other way to take something written Flash using AS2 and output it to a swf that is AS3?Thanks for indulging me with your time.

So I've been working on a project for a few weeks now. And my computer trackpad froze on me. Wasn't reading inputs. So I used my keyboard to Cmd + S my file. Then I restarted my computer. When it gave me the option to open the recover file, clicked 'No', because why would I need to, I had saved my file already.I open the file, it was a save from 2 days ago. Nothing from the last 48 hours. I poke around in my computer's files, find the recovery file, I open it, and it's empty. No keyframes or layers at all. Is there anything I can do to recover my progress? I really don't want to have to redo all that animation.Something important that you should know is that I save my files as .xfl files, because I've had way too many experiences with .fla files corrupting. I'm also a mac user. Edit: It says there is a javaScript error. I also looked at the difference between the two folders, and it appears that the recover folder is missing DOM documents and one .dat document. Are these impo

trying to publish an app created by animate on ipad and iphone.the publish on ipad ok, howeve the iphone publishing gets error (attached)i tried to remove the iphone and assign it agasin but no results.thr iphone is recognized when trying to publish.(see attached) 

I've been trying to use my bamboo wacom tablet in Adobe Animate but for some reason it acts like it's in pen mode instead of mouse mode, which makes it really difficult to draw. In other adobe programs like Photoshop, mouse mode works fine (although I can't get pen pressure) so I'm wondering if there's a fix to allow me to use mouse mode in Animate.

I recently got Adobe Animate, because my friends and I wanted to start up an animation project and I wanted to help out, but whenever I use my tablet to draw it creates a straight line down and starts drawing away from the cursor.  I have a Huion GT-190 tablet/monitor if that has anything to do with the problem. I've been looking around and I can't seem to find a fix that actually works for me

Hello, I am new to Animate and trying to create an animation using Devanagari font. When I type using Myriad Devanagari (or Yantramanav), it displays English alphabets. Is there a way to type Devanagari letters? Thanks in advance.

  i try to publish my app on an ipad and on iphone.while the publishing on ipad works ok the publishing on iphone fails.tried to remove and update fevices again not working despite the fact that  iphone is recignized.    

Im wondering if the problem im having when i render out my ani animation a particular obect that is meant to disappear and stay gone, reapppears, but only when i render it out  !! i doesnt happen when its in animate !!?

My question is more about overall techniques and approaches. The idea is just to give to the viewer the feeling that character is walking but without real walking cycle. Fine way of realisation of this idea i've seen in "South Park". Characters just skip and swing a little while they "walking". Simple and genious but i've never seen anything like this aproach in any other cartoon. So if I make it like it is done in SP - there is a good chance to copy their style and feel shame for this)) What i diffenetley don't want to feel) Do u know any other examples or techiques to simplify a walking cycle?
