2 of 5 tracks play audio when previewed in Multitrack Session

Hello! This is my first post in this community so I might not format everything correctly.

 

I just started using Adobe Audition (as of 3 days ago). The last time I opened up my Multitrack Session, everything was working fine, all the tracks were previewing etc. This time, a dialog box told me that my audio hardware settings have changed (I was using a blue snowball (input) and my earphones (output) to record and listen to what I recorded). It prompted me to look at the settings, I changed a couple of settings but it currently looks like this ->  It said that my changes might affect something called Channel Mapping, but I'm not sure what that is.. In the multitrack view, some of my tracks play back audio when I preview them in the editor, but others don't but all of them playback audio in the waveform session.

 

I'm at a complete loss.

This is probably going to be down to basic settings in Multitrack. Since your system actually plays tracks, it won't be the audio hardware you need to look at but initially, have a look at the the box above, which shows the basic routing. It should look something like this:

The lines I've highlighted show that on this system (and it will be the same on yours) there are two channels available for sound to get out on, and that's fine - the system will basically work. Now you need to have a look at the Mixer (available as a tab at the top of the Multitrack layout panel). It should look like this:

Once again, I've highlighted the relevant line. You can see that each track is fed to the Master channel on the right, all the faders are set to 0dB, and no mute M or solo S buttons are lit. If it's like this, then all the tracks in your multitrack session will feed to the default output - which you've already established is working.

 

If this is all correct, and it still doesn't work properly, we'd need to see a screenshot of your session, I think...
