2024 Version Input Settings

Hi Again,

Ok, I asked earlier about why my level meters suddently quit working.  I now cannot find that.  Anyway, I've looked at several YouTube tutorials, and not a single one of them show what I see in my program.  I have a newer version, downloaded in maybe late 2023, or possibly even sometime in early 2024.  I'm guessing what those tutorials are showing is in the older versions.  I do not understand the setup, being that I never change settings - I have no reason to.  I did manage to find the Channel Mapping screen, and everything seems to be in order - both the input settings, and the output settings.  It's strange that my settings seem to magically change for no apparent reason.  The other day, my Record buttons got disabled somehow, and I came here to ask about that, didn't get any answer that I could make heads or tails of.  For some reason, the setting changed itself back, because now the Record buttons are operable.  Just today my level meters stopped working.  Also, when I record, it says I'm recording, but nothing actually gets recorded.  So, I'm baffled.

You're not going to believe this, but now everything is back to normal.  Still baffled, but everything seems to be working as it was before all this crazy stuff started.

Level meters not working again.  For crying out loud.

Is there a setting for this?  If so, where?

Sorry to be going back and forth, but again, baffled.

Difficult to say, but sometimes when it comes down to issues like this, it's the OS that's screwing with you. The important thing here is to make sure that you have Administrator rights, and not just being a user. It might seem a bit strange, but also check that your video driver is up to date...

And please keep this in one thread - multiple threads are much harder for anybody to follow.
