3.0 vs CC and .wav CART data entry

I purchased AA3 in 2009 (still have the box). I continue to use it on a laptop that’s just as old for freelance voice work, but I’m LONG overdue for a computer upgrade (understatement of the year). Is 3.0 reinstallable on a modern Windows 10 laptop, or should I suck it up and get Audition CC? (Which leads to the question I haven’t been able to find an answer to yet: does CC have radio automation data input for .wav files, and the ability to set segue tones, date carts, etc, as 3.0 does? I know some recent versions did NOT support this for a time).

    You can reinstall 3.0, but not the copy you've got, as the activation server was switched off several years ago. There are instructions for what to do here: Audition 3 and the activation service

    As far as I'm aware, everything to do with markers is in the current version, which would probably be a better bet to install, quite frankly - Windows is getting further and further away from being happy with 'vintage' software...

    Here's a grab of the list of options you can set with markers in the present version:
