-3db lowering from track to mix.

If i am listening to my final audio with the loudness meter in the specific audiotracks (track 1) i get a perfect result, however if the loudness meter from the mix track i get a 3db lowering!
there is only 1audio present in this file, no effects (other than the two loudness meters).

How can this be?
