AA crashing as soon as I change my input/output

Hi Folks,

I'm sorry in advance, as this is long.  I have discovered a work around this morning, but it's probably not right in the long run.  I'd still like to get on top of this problem.  Thank you for your time and knowledge.

I just updated to the latest version of Audition (13.0.5) on 04/26/2020 and within 24 hours, AA began intermittently freezing and crashing with intermittant latency (clipping the end of my file).  I attempted to reach support  and was directed here as they're experiencing a heavy load right now.  Here's what I'm experiencing:

*AA freezes and crashes under a couple different circumstances.

*It will crash when I open a current session file and attempt to correct my input/output, as it is newly defaulting to either "none and none" or "default & master".

*It also crashes when I start a new session file, if I don't choose my output as "master".

When I change ouptut to "main outs", which is what I use, it freezes and crashes.

*Other evidence of problem since the update is the record buttons; both the record arm and the actual record are ghosted out in existing project files, regardless of  input/output assignments, rendering saved session files useless.

I have discovered a work-around this morning with a "new session" only.  I leave my outputs at "master" and it does work.  I would, however, like to discover what the underlying problem is, in order to avoid losing new project session files as well as avoiding the down-time.

Interface is a MOTU ultralite

I have swapped between MME and ASIO to see if that is the cause (happens with both settings)  I have shifted buffer size.  Neither seems to be the obvious cause.

Today, with new work-around, latency issue has resolved.

Thanks much!
