Question

Ability to move through files in the 'files' area using arrow keys

Adobe Audition is excellent, but one annoyance makes my job much longer.

I'm a voiceover artist who does a lot of eLearning recording and the clients like the files to be split by file name - sometimes meaning I've got hundreds of files in the 'files' area of Audition.

Please add the functionality to use the cursor keys to move through this list of files, updating the waveform view when the file is highlighted.

At present, I have to double-click each file and as you can imagine going through a list of 100+ audio files by double-clicking each one is bloody annoying and time-consuming. Why do I need to go through each one? Well, I opened another thread for that.

Please add this functionality to save my sanity.

Still, no one else thinks this would be a good idea? Man, you lot are easily pleased.

Have you tried hitting enter when you've selected the file you want to edit?

That’s the problem.

The arrows don’t select the file to then press enter. I have to double
click. And then move my hand back to the contour shuttle.

Just seems a stupid omission. Why can’t I go through the open files with
the cursor keys. It’d make my work so much smoother.
