Adding more time to Podcast template?

Hi there,

I've searched and googled to try to find this answer which I assume is super easy but I can't find it! I am recording a podcast using the Audition podcast template. My recording stopped after about 11 minutes. How do I keep going?

Where are the settings to make my podcasts about 60-70 minutes long?

    There shouldn't be any need to add extra time to the Podcast template as Audition should carry on recording for as long as you want. If it is stopping at 11 minutes then something is stopping it or interrupting the digital signal flow from your audio interface. you will note that if you open a new session from the Podcast template that it defaults to around 3 or 4 minutes of time in the display until you start recording.

    What might be stopping or interrupting the digital signal flow? I am using a standard microphone and I'm still having this problem. I am using the free trial version of audition at the moment. Could this be limiting the podcast template time?

    Any other bit of software such as Windows sound notifications can grab and disrupt the digital audio signal into Audition. But it very much depends on what audio interface you are using with what audio drivers. How is your 'standard microphone' getting it's audio into the computer and Audition?

    There are no restrictions in programme operation for a trial version of Audition. Just the number of days that you are allowed to try it for.

    I am using headphones to listen and record. I'm just using the microphone on the headphones. The headphones are Klipsch R6m. Thanks for your assistance!
