You may have hit the nail on the head there. The specification is a bit coy about what it will actually do - interesting to see what it actually shows in the Audition device list... could we have a screen grab of that?


OMG!!!! All I had to do was put my default input to No Input.  Thank You Guys!

If the cursor won't move at all, then go to Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware and make sure that your sound device is connected correctly - that's the only thing that stops the transport. If the cursor moves, but you hear nothing, then you have probably got an external setting problem with your sound device. If so, we need to know more about your system...

    I am running macOS on my Mac Pro.  Running the whole CC suite.  I do have a blackmagic UltraStudio attached.  The audio will not play at all.  I even brought in some sample audio, and that won't even play. I checked my audio and it is hooked up write. I am still at a loss for words on what to do next.

    I'm afraid you are going to have to be more specific than that. When you say 'won't play' do you mean that the cursor doesn't move, or that the cursor moves and you hear nothing? There's a big difference.
