Question

Adobe Audition CC 2018 MME device only has output

I don't have a output signal when using MME device (which I always use)

I noticed that the Microsoft Line Audio Codecs that is being activated when I plugin my Lenco Digital record player gives a migration error in Windows Device manager.

Is this an Adobe or Microsoft issue???

A Microsoft Technician worked remotely on my laptop, last week, regarding this issue, but no solution.

Can anybody help or advice.

Hi I'm able to record/rip now.

I'm using Asio4All V2 now in combination with Virtual Audio Cable.

I don't know what did the trick but I'm happy.

Thanks for the support.

Thank for your reply @ ryclark

I also had this problem with my traditional turntable and and yes Lenco is  connected via USB.

I've tried several ways (uninstall and reinstalling, virtual Audi Cable, other standalone drivers) to make it work  but they all end up with the not migrated Line Audio Codecs from Microsoft which is only visible (pop up in device manager) when I plug in the Lenco In the properties of the codecs it says not migrated and I could not find any info on how to repair this That's why I connected Microsoft .

I have no problem with my playback at all, only recording.

With MME I get the info no input device.

I'll try ASIO later today.

Thanks again

Audition is reliant on whatever the Windows audio drivers send it or receive from it unless you use a more professional audio interface with ASIO drivers. So you have to get it correct in the Windows Sound set up before Audition can use your audio device. I suspect that the Lenco turntable is connected via USB to your computer. Since it is an input only device Audition probably gets confused because it normally expects an audio interface with both inputs and outputs. If you are on Windows 10 you might try to use the WASAPI audio drivers which may let you chose different audio devices for input and output.
