[Adobe Audition CC 2020] Audio sounds weird after export to FLAC

Hello.

If I make a mix of several tracks uploaded to Audition from FLAC files and listen to the final version, everything is fine. Unfortunately, when I save the finished mix as a FLAC file, crackling appears in many places. This doesn't always happen. This most often happens in places at the upper end of the range, but not always. Crackles may also appear during quieter sections. I don't understand this, because I load tracks in perfect quality from FLAC files, I don't change the volume in them, I just combine them with each other and nothing else. The listening experience with Audition is perfect. Only after saving it turns out that there are crackles in the saved FLAC file. When I save it as WAV, the sound is perfect. If I save it in the FLAC format, i.e. lossless, why doesn't the song sound identical to what it sounds in Audition?

[Mod note: this is not the same problem as the one in the thread you posted in, so it gets its own one, with FLAC mentioned explicitly in the title - makes it a lot easier for others to search.]

Ok. I found a solution. When saving, you should select FLAC not from the main list, but from the libsndfile library. This algorithm works correctly. Maybe in newer versions of Audition, this has been fixed, but in my version (13.0.13.46), FLAC from the main list of recording types does not work properly.

I just wanted to add that the entire song, exported to MP3, also does not have any crackles or glitches. It seems that the problem only affects export to FLAC. I tried various saving settings but it didn't help.
