I have the same problem too (though without having used any noise reduction of late). I am using Audition 6. Last night it worked flawlessly. This morning I wanted to start it anew to work on some more music and it simply said: «A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may continue the session now, delete it, or cancel to continue the session at another time.» Whichever option I choose, the program closes and promises to inform me as soon as a solution is available...
I uninstalled the entire program and its complete directories, tried to reinstall it but the result is the same. Could it be something in the Windows registry (Windows 7)?
    Please help me!!!

Just to point out that you aren't having the 'same problem' since this thread refers to Audion CC when using NR. So nothing to do with your problem I'm afraid.

You would be better off starting a new thread from scratch that deals with your situation in particular and gives a bit more details about your PC and system. Which complete directories did you also uninstall as Audition keeps various settings in different parts of your computer. There is a tool for cleaning up Windows un-installations of Adobe software available from Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

This seemed like a workable solution, but in the end, after following

your instructions I did not succeed to find any logs at all at the

specified location. Lacking this "detail" but not wanting to be a pain

in the neck for you, I downloaded the software for CS6/Audition, and

tried to install it - unfortunately with the same result. After finding

any logs with "failure" I was to "contact" you, but the link led me to

your "support.html", but the four options proposed don't include my

problem. I am not an enterprise, and I don't need any advice on what to

purchase, so this form is completely useless to me (at least it seems

so), Perhaps I am simply too old to choose anything between irrelevant

    options.

I was wondering if purchasing a new version of Autition would solve my

problems, but you will understand I am not really interested in spending

money for something that does not work properly!

I would surely appreciate if you could help me with my problem, without

asking me technical questions I cannot answer. I am a sort of 50%

digibete, and I think that software should work correctly on a normal

computer. This is the very first time in my life (and I have been

working with computers from 1987) that an application simply stopped

working and was unwilling to repent after a reinstallation.

Thank you for your attention and -hopefully- for your help.

    Best regards.

I haven't updated recently and I am having the exact same issue. Did not have it a few days ago. Now it happens each time I use NR. Doesn't do much good to bring in files to clear up if you can't fix hum. And to think I pay $600/year for something they are looking into without providing even a brief explanation. How long does it take to look?

Larry, please check in Help > About and post for us which version number of Audition you have.  Thanks.

If this is the latest Audition version 10.1 then you will see from many other threads in the Forum that some people are finding a bug with the noise reduction. It is being investigated but in the meantime the advice is to revert to the previous version.

Same here.  Quits  after applying Noise Reduction and tweaking whistles manually in Spectral View.  My routine is to go into Spectral View and use the healing brush to gently reduce whistles that NR and RX9 de-esser did not catch.  Abiut then the program quits, and when I reopen much of my work is gone.  I finally used the online version and saved after every action, and got out with no more crashes.  I do think this is a bug in the latest update;  I am using v 25.3.0.71. Going to delete and go back to the last version.
