Adobe Audition is lagging

Well, it never stops lagging!

Not when I'm recording audio, and especially not when I'm editing Audio with Video. It never stops! I can't get rid of it! I did anything I could! I have NVIDIA graphic card, Intel i7 9th core, 16GB RAM...

Why the hell is this happening? What the hell I can do?! I can't work like that!

IMO the three most effective things you can do are:-
1. Have at least 2 fast SSD drives - one for your session and media and one for your primary Audition temp folder

2. More RAM

3. Turn off all background and/or unnecessary applications
