Adobe Audition Not Playing Video, Loads Frames while scrubbing or Paused

Adobe Audition suddenly stopped playing a video. But it loads the video when scrubbing the track, or while stopped. I honestly have no idea where to even start debugging this because my workflow, files, and computer are all the same. It was working, then halfway through this project, it just suddenly stopped. 

I'll muddle along through this project, but it completely messes up my workflow. I'm hoping that someone can at the least suggest something to check to fix this problem. I'd think it was a button I pressed, but I can't think of a workflow where this would be a feature. 

Thank you in advance for any of the help you can provide. I've tried rebooting and reopening the project. And that did nothing.
