OMG..... How do I get rid of that absolutely HORRIBLE piano "DING" everytime I click something in the interface.

 

Who was the scolar who thought that was anything that anyone would want?

That may be an OS thing, I don't get that in my Win10 with any build of Audition, and I've got four loaded. But then, I disabled all the stupid Windows attention dinger things when I initialized this computer.

Yes, it's an OS thing. With any software that's handling audio there's an additional reason for turning off system sounds - they all run at ridiculously low bit rates and can reset your sound device. It's not as bad as it used to be because I think they resample them now, but before this they could easily switch the sample rate and make anything you played back run at about half speed - very confusing when you didn't realise what had caused it...
