Adobe Audition Workflow Question

I use Audition for my voice work and have been for years, but I have a new challenge tonight that I need some help with.  Instead of my ususal cartoon / audio book / commercial work, I'm recording time and day tags for a PBS station.  The problem is that saying the station name 1600 times is awkward and I can only do it a couple hundred times before I get a bit tongue tied.  It's a weakness I didn't know I had until now.

 

Is there a way to "paste to mark"?  If I say, for example, "Monday at 12:30" and then put a mark down in cadence before going on to 1:00, can I paste the station name to all of those marks at once?

 

Is there a better way that I'm not considering?

    You can't do them all at once, but if you mark the file at each appropriate point and store the station name in one of the five buffers that are available, then by hitting Alt+Right and then Ctrl+V you will place whatever's in that buffer at that spot. Then press G to clear the selection, and repeat.

     

    Now you might have thought that with a little ingenuity, you might be able to program that sequence of keysteps into a Favorite, but no... cursor moves aren't recognised as recordable steps. And that means the only method of doing this is manual.

      It worked out well, thanks!  I'll create a feature request for paste to mark, but I think that will end up being quite far down their list.  🙂
