Adobe GCClient.exe unable to start correctly 0xc000007b

Hi,

I have Audition CS6 which has worked perfectly for a couple years until all of a sudden today.  Responding to missing .dll files errors (MVCP140 and VCRuntime) I downloaded and placed the files in the appropriate (per an online tutorial) folders.  Now, when I open the program, I get the subject error.  When I click OK, the program still seems to work (as was the case with the .dll errors before I downloaded the .dll files).  One general question I have is--

Is the file Adobe GCClient needed to run CS6 or is it only for Audition Creative Cloud which I once tried for 30 days but uninstalled when I bought Cs6?

Other than that, any advice?
