After uninstalling CC, how do I resume using my existing Audition CS6?

I began using Adobe Audition in late 2011, when it was version 5.5. At some point during 2012, it was updated to CS6 and, in November 2016, I switched to Creative Cloud, but kept the CS6 version on my drive by moving it into a folder.

Creative Cloud simply proved too expensive for my needs, so I want to resume using Audition CS6. While I have already cancelled Creative Cloud, I have not yet uninstalled it. I run a Mac mini (late 2012) under OS 10.12.6 (Sierra).

What do I need to do?

Uninstall Audition CC. If you uninstalled CS6 then you will need to find the installer to run again to re-install Audition CS6. You will also need your serial number to be able to activate it again.

If you never uninstalled CS6 you should just be able to run it again. I have several versions of Audition going back some years all installed alongside each other and they all still run.

Thank you, ryclark. I haven't yet uninstalled CC, and CS6, which is still on the drive, will not launch (I guess CC is preventing that somehow).

There is the Creative Cloud Uninstaller and also the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Will I need to run both?

You shouldn't really need to uninstall Audition CC in order to get CS6 to work. I have both available to run at any time on my PC and can use either one. But yes I would use the CC Uninstaller. You may not need the Cleaner Tool. But you will need to find the CS6 installer file. if you haven't still got it locally you should be able to log into your Adobe account and re-download it from there.
