All presets/workspaces gone

Hi! I updated to 12.1.0.182 and all of my prefs are missing.

File>Import> application setting gives me error messages "could not be imported as application settings due to an unknown error.."

How do i get them back?

Coincidentally,I've come here today because all of my effects rack presets in CS6 have disappeared. Not sure what's going on!

@ th23434 Unfortunately CS6 problems aren't really relevant to the OP's problem that originated in an update to the very latest version of Audition I'm afraid. Anyway you have given your own answer in a separate post.

Can you see your previous Workspaces in Window/Workspace/Edit Workspaces menu list? There there should be three separate lists of Bar, Overflow and Do Not Show. Hopefully you can find your previous Workspaces somewhere there.

Otherwise I would go and check Audition's Settings folder to see if your previous settings are still available. You can find where they are by going to the Help menu and clicking on Reveal Log Files.This will take you to the 'logs' folder within Audition's settings folder. Go back up one folder level to find the rest of Audition's settings including the Workspace folder. Check in there to see if your previously Workspaces are stored.

Thank you! There are no old workspaces (that I created) in the Window/Workspace/Edit Workspaces menu list. :(. Also, I didn't see an option to go up a folder in reveal log files

I'm afraid that I can't help you there as you are on a Mac which I know nothing about. However it should be a standard Mac file system operation. the actual path to Audition's settings is /Users/{username}/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Audition/{version no}
