all wav exports corrupted, aif not supported, mp3 distorted...Was not like this for years

Imported a wav file, did some trimming, all the exact same as years of doing this. Imported file is just fine. What is going on?? Thu sfar with the latest updates every piece of software has broken or corrupted something....what did you all do??? Should this hav ebeen a new version 14 if that drastic??
