Amplitude & Compression->Dynamic processing->Mike Compression?

Hi guys.  My name is Fly and I'm new in here.   I have a quick question and I'm sure some of the smarty pants crowd will be able to answer it very easily.  So I'm following along to a tutorial by Mike Russell called How To Make Your Voice Sound Better (Secrets Revealed) on Youtube and I'm in about 5 steps in when Mike tells everyone to do this step; Amplitude & Compression->Dynamic processing->Mike Compression.   Now I just updated my Adobe Audition to the 2017 version and it doesn't have MC.  So did Adobe swap it out for another filter, Voice over or Broadcast Limiter?   Thanks in advance.  Flylikabird

    Alright Steve wins the big prize!  Mike does in fact create his own preset named after himself "Mike Compression".  So Johnny tell SteveG what he's won.......Johnny?....Johnny?  Oh well it seems Johnny's not here right now, Steve you have my utmost and eternal gratitude sir.  Thanks again,  Fly

    That isn't one of Audition's default presets. Since the preset is called 'Mike Compression' it is obviously a preset that he has set up and saved as a custom preset. He must show you somewhere in the tutorial what the settings are. The nearest standard Audition one is 'Voice Over'.

    I just checked back to Audition 3, and it wasn't in there either - nor do I ever recall seeing a preset like that. He probably made it himself and forgot!

    *update* He did indeed make it himself, and no he didn't forget - he gives the settings in the tutorial - check it again.
