Are scripts and the SDK what I need for this idea?

So I'd like to automate a process:I'd like to be able to hit a button and on the current file (in waveform view) have a file that gets appended to the start, and another that is appended to the end. And I need to do a lot of this. From what I understand, I should be able to write a script for this and create an extension with the SDK from Adobe. Am i correct in thinking this? Also:What language would one be using to write extensions?And why the hell aren't there more extensions and scripts available for audition? I donn't think I'm looking in the wrong place. Thanks for any assistance you can lend. regards

Or maybe not, as it answers the language question on the front page...And why the hell aren't there more extensions and scripts available for audition?Because you haven't written them yet?
