Au 2018 will not open

Au 2018 will not open and I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. I have also tried installing 2017 again and it does not open either. I meet all system requirements and have no issue with any other Adobe program. I am running PC with a 64 bit, Win 7, 64gb ram.

When I open, it stalls on "Initializing (AuBackend)"

So CC2017 worked OK before the update to CC2018? Try opening with the Shift key held down. This sets all Audition's preferences back to the default.

If that doesn't work, then you have to treat this as a crash, and send Adobe the last log report - details here: Audition Crashed. Now what?
