Audio continues to roll past highlighted area

Using 2020 Audition. When I highlight an area to edit, the audio continues to play beyond the highlighted area. This just started. I have shut down and restarted Audition and my computer without any change. Any thoughts?

Go to Edit>Preferences>Playback and put a check in the box that says 'When playback starts within a selected region, stop at the end of the selection'. Should just play the highlighed section then.
