Audio Corruption Issue

Hey guys. I pulled a big no-no and unplugged my hard drive before saving and closing my audition session. I had already been making edits in the timeline. So I go back in, everything looks as I left it in the timeline, i hit play and the audio seems corrupted -- running a loop of the same 4 seconds of audio.  I go into the original Audition session files and the actual original audio files play fine. I figure that means i'm in the clear.  I highlight my two tracks, and click "Link Media," click the appropriate file in the hopes that when I go and press play all we be right, but it's running the same loop over and over like it was corrupted. Any suggestions?

    Thanks SteveG.

I'm currently on location in Europe with little to no WiFi but I have had a look at the sesx with the limited resources at my disposal and all looks fine.  I have asked the OP as to the location of the audio that plays fine and suggested that if it happens to be a different location to that of the media referenced in the "Imported Files" folder then to replace it with the good audio. Unfortunately, I'm not currently in a position to try it myself.

Thanks a bunch. That's what I figured, I was just fingers crossed that there might've been an easier option I wasn't aware of. Thanks anyway, I'll pick up from where the last back-up was.

This has all the hallmarks of a corrupted session file. If you have been making regular backups, then your best option would be to try re-opening the session using one of those, rather than the 'disturbed' one, I reckon. The other obvious option is to wait for SuiteSpot to come along and see if he can do anything with the corrupted file. Has to be him, really - he's the genius with them!
