Audio 'Echo' issue

That, I'm afraid, is a classic definition of not synced!

If the clocks in the cameras weren't locked together then any audio recorded on them won't be locked either. It takes surprisingly little drift between two supposedly identical clock sources for this to happen. Also, if the mics were any distance apart, and a different distance from the sound source, you have an additional issue to deal with; sound travels about a foot per millisecond, so if there's a difference of 10 feet between each mic and the source, that will introduce a 10ms additional error.

If you put the clips you've got on two tracks in multitrack, aligned as best you can, and select both of them you could try right-clicking with the mouse hovered over them, and selecting Automatic Speech Alignment. Sometimes this can work rather well, and not just with speech either - I've had good results out of it with a singer.
