Audio extremely quiet

So basically I've recorded a bunch of audio for a film but, now that it's on my computer, it's so quiet that I literally can't hear it unless I adjust the audio gain to something crazy like +60. Of course when I do that there's a huge amount of static and even then I can only hear the slightest bit of actual sound. Is there any way to fix is or are my audio files worthless?

If you can't see anything except a flat line in the files, then yes they are pretty much useless. Can you post a screen-grab of what a typical sample looks like?

Yeah it's a flatline so I guess they're done then?
