Audio File Playback Issue

I'm trying to open a movie session that was created in CC. I don't have CC anymore but still have a copy of CS6. The audio loads fine but plays back slow as if it's been dropped in pitch slightly. Is this normal? Are the file not reverse compatible? Help?!

If it's dropped about a semitone, the chances are that the sample rate of your original audio was 48k and Audition is currently playing it at 44.1k. 48k is normally used for video sound, so this is the most likely explanation.

Thanks, Steve. I figured that was the issue but how do I fix it?
