Audio files in Dropbox becoming unlinked while editing

Obviously this could be an issue with Dropbox, as the problem seems to vanish when I turn sync off. Obviously living with Dropbox perpetually needing to be turned on/off is less than ideal, especially when my remote recorders are storing files there & my studio stores recordings there. 

Has anyone else seen this? I'm on macOS 10.14, Audition build 13

There is actually an Multitrack unlinking issue with the current Audition release, and the fix for that is to download the beta version from the CC app - it's fixed in this. It's probably worth trying this first, before blaming anything else...
