Audio Issues with Audition once I've disconnected from an external sound card
I'm not sure if I'm the only one suffeirng this. I'd welcome any advice if you've encountered this or a similar failure.
I currently use my MBP M1 for audio editing along with an external sound card (Focusrite Scarlett 8Pre) which connects via USB-C in my studio. This set up works perfectly.
Once I disconnect from the Scarlett and take my MBP eslewhere to edit, Adobe refuses to play audio in multitrack when I have headphones connected via the headphone jack. I can play audio in single track, but in multitrack the programme just hangs. All the transport buttons grey out, so I have no choice but to force close the app and re-open it only to experience the same thing again.
The only workaround, which in all honesty isn't a workaround is to uninstall and reinstall Adobe. Once I do that, it operates as it should do.
This is the first time I've made the move to a laptop for audio editing, so it's all very new to me.
If you have any advice or guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.
